Message

Dear Ben:

After the first few days the contributions to the Visitor's Fund dropped
dramatically. I was thinking that all those who went on the trip to Europe
in October 1999 would remember how graciously we were treated and escorted
around to the various sites we desired to see. Some did remember and
contributed generously but others failed to respond. We owe these people a
great deal for keeping our history alive. They are passing our deeds on to
the generation that follows and the 517th will live on in the hearts of the
youth that was unborn at the time we traveled their land. Their brief time
at our reunion is a small price we pay as reimbursement for all they have
done and continue to do for us.
