I have personally secured a letter from Mr. Harvey, the Secretary of the Army for the 517th PCRT to be delivered and read at the conference. He was very interested and enthusiastic to provide the congratulatory letter for all of you heroes.

I am sorry that I cannot attend this year. I came across a small impediment in that I discovered last November that I had very early stage of lymphomic cancer. It was inadvertently and fortunately discovered as part of minor eye surgery. Long story short, the use of technology in magnification of the blood cell from my bone marrow and state of the art chemotherapy eliminated the cancer. I am now cancer free according to my doctor as of 4 PM last evening. I am a blessed man to have found it and eliminated it.

My best wishes to all. I hope to make it next year.

Frank Ramos works for the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense and is the brother of Ismael Ramos who served with H company. We all got to know Frank at the Savannah reunion when he delivered a message from President Bush

I just completed a project this weekend of scanning and categorizing some
of the memorabilia that my father had from World War II. I see that you have
some of these items already on your site, but if there is anything that you
like feel free to copy or send me a note and I can send you the source
files.

Many of the pictures started out as worn wallet size photos but by using
some modern tools many of these photos came "back to life". If anyone can
help in identifying the individuals listed as unknown or the unknown
buildings, have them send me a note at stevewwii@markleweb.com with the
file name listed on the site and the proper description.

Thanks for helping to keep the memory alive for these great men.
