I was talking to Chris Lindner on the phone last night and asked if she had heard about Jan. She was shocked (no computer) so she asked me to please let you know how very sorry she was to learn about your wonderful departed wife, Jan.  Chris had lunch with her at the Auxiliary Meeting in Savannah.  She mentioned how nice she was and how impressed she was with Jan and what a true leader she was.

Her Computer has been disconnected for two weeks and it will probably be another two weeks before it is back on line.  Chris and her husband moved into a new house in July and the wood floors were a mess so they are in the process of having them redone.  Needless to say the place is a mess due to the dust.

Again, please call if I can be of help.  Tom Cross tells me you are doing very well, keep it up.

Dad, I just received this info from Cristophe Fine, about the Col de Braus anniversary coming up in October 28-29, in memory of the 517th and Floyd Polk.

In case you cannot read a word file, I posted this on the web at:

Ben,

Thought you might be interested as to what Alan Fine and friends are doing
in memory of Floyd.  We enjoyed being with him and his family in 1984 and
1985.
Most of his family have visited us and we have stayed in contact since 1985.
Christophe Fine is his son and e-mails me pictures of his family.  When they heard of Floyd's death Alain's mother sent two beautiful picture of us taken with them when we stayed at their home in 1985.

Ben, We have a problem. I submitted my copy for the Thunderbolt to the printer on Sept. 1st. The menu for the banquet at the Florida Mini was # 1 marinated chicken and petite filet or #2 Pork loin Dijonnaise. Unbeknownst to me the menu was changed on Sept. 9 and printed on the website. The Thunderbolt was delivered to the post office today. C'est la vie!  Bob
