Tom, I read your mail to Ben relating to your assignment in or around Columbus, OH.  I found your email address in the first Reber publication that I picked up which was a 2oo4 edition. of the Reber Roster.  It might surprise you that some Buckeyes are only benignly hostile,  not serious at all!  I personally wish you a joyous welcome to Columbus, Wisconsin Badgers and all.

Your profession sounds interesting.  Of course, not having talked to you, I have no idea what exactly you do or with what company if not your own company  I will make this brief in the event that you are swamped as your missive to Ben suggests.  If you are not swamped as all that, I will say that I am Walter Smith formerly in Hq. co. of the 1st Bn of 517.  I note that your Lt. father was in Hq of the 3rd Bn.  I live across the river from the OSU campus.  1730 Rhoda Ave.  (I will have to admit that some of the Buckeye fans are almost rabidly hostile and destructive.  That is a shame.)
Good luck in your stay here     walt

I found it interesting that the Gen Zais autographed photo on eBay, at $149, is selling for 10 times as much as an autographed photo of Alex Rodriguez -- only $14.99.

                        $14.99                                             $149.00

Seems about right to me.

Subject: Arnold Hughson - ID Bracelet
Date: Wed, 11 Oct 2006 14:17:23 +0000

Hi, Many years ago (maybe 20 or so) I owned a home in North Tonawanda, NY on 10th Avenue. While digging under the house to put in new supports, my fiancé and I found a sterling silver id bracelet. I never thought much about it and threw it into a box with some other old jewelry I had. Well, yesterday I was looking thru that old box and came across the id bracelet. On the front is It has the following inscription on the inside: Arnold Hughson, Co D, 2nd BN, 517th PRCHT INF REG. I went thru your site and actually found pictures of Arnie! How exciting. I was hoping that I could find out more about him, but when I searched your site, there were just some pictures and not much else. Is there any way I can find out more from other members of the 517th? Please let me know where I should go from here to find out about Arnie………Thanx, Kim
