Dear Ben:  I know you will be traveling too, but want to give you and Bob my computer movement schedule.  I will disconnect it on Friday the 9th of Dec., ship it on the tenth; the arrival and installation times are yet to be determined.  I hope to be up and running to receive email soon after the shipment of household items arrives in Petaluma, CA.

Meanwhile, MERRY CHRISTMAS to all (including the ACLU) and a HAPPY NEW YEAR.

If you consider that there has been an average of 160,000 troops in
the Iraq
theatre of operations during the last 22 months, and a total of 2,112
deaths, that gives a firearm death rate of 60 per 100,000 soldiers.

The firearm death rate in Washington DC is 80.6 per 100,000 for the same
period.

That means that you are about 25% more likely to be shot and killed in
the
U.S. Capitol, which has some of the strictest gun control laws in the
nation, than you are in Iraq.

Conclusion: The U.S. should pull out of Washington.

Ben:  Sent you an email using the address in Mail Call and it came back.   Trying it again

Ben:  Could you put this in Mail Call.    I want to buy and book or monograph or similar item about the 517th to give as a gift  to a WW II veteran who was in the 517th for this Christmas.   Anyone have anything out there they might sell me?    If not can you point me to someone who sells such items.

 Thanks Ben

 Ron
