Ben -
I received the room number lists and I'm excited that the Washington,
DC reunion will be well-attended! Yes, the rooms for early arrivals are
indeed sold out, but there are still ample rooms left for Thursday, Friday,
Saturday, and Sunday nights - and these days are the actual duration of the
reunion.
Please, everyone, keep reserving your rooms and let's get the order
forms into Armed Forces Reunions for the reunion registration and
activities! We need to start planning for numbers in the Hospitality Room
and at the meals.
Stay tuned - I believe that we'll be able to announce our keynote
speaker for the final banquet in the next week. Suffice to say that I'm
very happy.
We are so looking forward to seeing everyone in our nation's
capital! Come and do as much or as little as you'd like. Come join
us for a wonderful and heartfelt reunion of friends old and new, across the
generations.
Warm regards to all my favorite troopers -

Dear Ben, I can't thank you enough for your help. These morning
reports are exactly what I am looking for. It's the day to day life that tells so
much especially when it is put together with the history of what was happening
at that moment in time. Your friend, Bob Dodds

Ben,
Ben, I am still alive, however not
totally well.
I have been out of the net and
almost with the ranks of the awol.
Returned from
another trip to Europe and returned with what
appeared to be a near
fatal case of Flu "A."
As usual daughter Karen, RN
had me in the ER and after two or
three weeks has brought me back to the
point where I can now enjoy the
fact that the sun does come up in the
morning and it does set in the
west.
Now running
thru about a dozen of your e-mails. Quickly, some of
the items you
noted.
I am so sorry to hear of the loss of a number
of our great
warriors. Our good friend and 517th supporter, "Aime," and my
squad
leader, George Ross of F Company; and so many others - God Bless our
departed friends and their friends and loved ones.
Ben, about the AOL program. I have been a member of the AOL
program
and it does, however slowly, offer many features. I finally
have wireless at
my Oregon home, however none at my California home. I
therefore am in a CA
coffee shop that offers excellent coffee, pretty
Cal Poly ladies, and free
wireless. With the availability of my
wireless, I have endeavored to move to
the Qwest (gmail) program from
the AOL. I found that it is not a easy move
have had some learning
shortcomings. I hope to iron these problems
out.
So, for the future and to ease your AOL
problem, please forward
future email to genesir@gmail.com.
Now that I am almost on my feet-will be around for awhile, however
I am traveling for the rest of this month and another trip to Europe
at the end of the month.

----- ONE MINUTE EACH
NIGHT
In WWII, there
was an advisor to Churchill who organized a group of people who dropped what
they were doing every night at a prescribed hour for one minute to collectively
pray for the safety of England , its people and peace.
There is now a
group of people organizing the same thing here in
America . If you
would like to participate: Each evening at 9:00 PM Eastern
Time (8:00 PM
Central) (7:00 PM Mountain) (6:00 PM Pacific), stop whatever you are doing
and spend one minute praying for the safety of the United
States , our troops,
our citizens, and for a Godly nation.
If you know
anyone who would like to participate, please pass this along.
Someone said if
Christians really understood the full extent of the power we have available
through prayer, we might be speechless. Our prayers are the most powerful asset
we have. Thank You, and God Bless America
