Michael  Plassman

I regret to inform you that Dr. Plassman passed away on May 30, 2007 at age 90.  Attending the 517 reunions was very important to him.  He suffered from congestive heart failure, but was still active until 3 weeks before his death.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                  Respectfully, Michael Plassman  #2 son

Ben,
I am J Mickael Soldi, my wife is lizy, we met you last year in Oregon, and I don't know if you already met Eric (renoux) my friend from the museum, unfortunately he had a very busy life, and he was not able to come since Bismarck 99.
.
It's now around midnight but i still connected  for 30 minutes for my work business ( landscaping & garden disigner) all i do for the WWII vets coming and homage is unpaid and free as our regretted friend Aimé Léocard and i make him the promise to perpetuate the memory of the Airborne in south France as long as our Lord will permit !
here is a photo of myself to remember but don't worry, a lot of you call me Eric, and Eric Mickael all the time..!
warmest regards and let me know what's going on Ben.
Tell Ann Pugh that I will collect all the photos and videos I have from her & Charley during all the great time we spend together since 10 years..
regards
J.Mickael(jimi)

Ben I don't know if you know the first name of Staff Sgt Goldberg,  H. Company.  I know C. Doty does if he will reply  I hope.   There is a relative calling me for information and I just want to be sure we are talking about the same guy.

The Goldberg that I remember was Herbert.  We called him dutchy. He was a private. - Ben

Attached is a Word Document.  It is a write up I did about a box my mother sent my dad while in France.  It includes some interesting pictures.

I thought maybe you would include it on the 517th website 'Soldier's Story's.
It was sure nice of the two gentlemen in France to send us this box.  I want them to get full credit and acknowledgement for their actions.

Hope you find this good reading.

We will place it on the website.- Ben

Dear Ben and Bob,

Please don’t include this email in the Mail Call, I
don’t want to bore everyone with my ww2 researches...

I hope you are both fine. I visit your website every
day and I must say I discover something new every day
on it!
Its my favourite website!

For the 517th cap: Thanks for including my 517th CAP
request on the mail call.. Unfortunately no one
replied… do you know where I could find a cap like the
one Russ Brambi is wearing on the 2003 Toccoa picture?
Here is the link for your info
http://www.517prct.org/photos/curtis_toccoa.htm

Im also looking for Claire Giblin's current email
address (I met allan Johnson his dad in Southern
France last year).
The address is have is clairejgib@aol.com but I don’t
think it’s the correct one since my emails don’t go
thru…

THE SIGNED PICTURES: Regarding the signed pictures I
wanted to obtain, I have sent an email to Mr Alicki
following his reply on the mail call. I'm waiting for
his reply, as soon as I get his address I'll send him
the picture (I also printed an extra copy for him).
I also have a picture of Dick Seitz which I would like
to have signed by him. Would it be possible to get
address of his daughter's email address?
I don’t want to annoy Mr Seitz but maybe his daughter
would agree to let me send them the picture for
signature. what do you think?

Thanks in advance for your help, I would really
appreciate if you could "coach" me on the above
requests since im a bit shy on certain points and
would hate to hassle people.
I have just added new pictures on my
www.dogface45.skyblog.com have a look! (at the end
pages).

With best regards from switzerland,
Your friend in the 517th , Gilles

I have replied to Gilles. No one is boring when they are interested in the 517.   Dick Seitz who is retired has informed me that his daughter who is a very busy Judge in Florida will  take care of the picture.  Ben
