Thanks Ben.  I did not want those remarks about Col. Graves to stand without reply for any length of time.  Glad Dick and Tom felt the same way.  My best,  HH

Ben, and all of you CT Commanders, It was heartwarming to hear the comments concerning
our 517th PRCT CO from those who knew him close up . My experience under Colonel Graves left nothing to be desired. He treated me and my command, the 596th Parachute Engrs,  almost like one of his Battalions . He included me in the necessary command meetings so that I would be kept abreast of CT plans, in so far as that was possible in the difficult fighting situations we found ourselves assigned , especially in our southern France invasion and the Bulge Fight.  He allowed me to assign a liaison officer to his Hgts which was a real boon to me in my efforts to give direct support to the BNs in contact with the enemy in the rapidly changing battlefield we were assigned . And he left me alone to my do my job: Never any harassments from him nor his staff . May he rest in peace. Bob Dalrymple

Hello brave men !

some pictures took for the 63th anniversary of liberation of Cannes the 24th of August.

I was wearing clothes like women at this period, Roland like you, brave youngs americans guys. On a jeep with music (for example Glenn Miller) we have danced with the population. it was a great moment with a lot of fun.

Fondly,

Patricia and Roland Orengo
