Please post the below message from my mother about Don Fraser.Thanks. TomDon Fraser--A Co. 517th prctKindness and caring were Don's trademarks. The men of the 517th werehis main concern aside from his family. When my husband, Malcolm "Red" Evans, was ill, Don called every day. His kindness extended to widows like me. Let's notforget his love fpr animals. He was indeed a fine man and will be missed but remembered.Marie EvansGreensboro, N.CThanks. I might have tried to send it when my e-mail provider was having trouble. Anyway, your efforts are much appreciated by many.
Jonathan ShortDear Mr Barrett
I am a ww2 living historian/reenactor based in the UK, and I have a great interest in US Airborne Forces and particularly the 517th PRCT. Would it be possible for me to be added to the mailing list please?

Jean-Loup GassendDear Ben and 517th veterans
This is Jean-Loup Gassend, from southern France. I
would like to know if any of the 517th veterans know
if there is any way to get into touch with veterans
from the 887th Airborne Engineer Company, who landed in
southern France in gliders?
Do these men have an association? I was hoping some
veterans from the 596th Engineer Company may know how
to contact some people from the 887th Engineer
Company.
Sincerely
Jean-Loup Gassend jean-loup@gassend.com
