Ben,
You did not need to issue any more of a thanks than
you already have... we ALL appreciate your efforts.
I do want to give the magazine that
produced this, Armes Militaria Magazine, and especially Frederick Brega a
"Merci" for their exceptional work on the quality and respect that they have
extended to the 596/517 in this piece. I also want to provide the means to get
to their website for anyone that may want their own copy (or copies) of the
November 2007 issue (number 268). This is a link to this
specific issue;
The total cost is around $11/US but will fluctuate
with currency exchange.
Have a Great New Year!

Hello Ben,
No, Woodhull was not a member of the 101st but
the 517th PRCT.
That's a mistake US government did when releasing the
information needed for the grave marker.
Now, I'm almost for over a year busy to change that
mistake.
There has to come a new marker that
says:
Robert P Woodhull
Capt 460 FA BN 517
PRCT
Ohio February 1945
I will not rest before the marker is
changed!
All the best
Ronald

Jonathan ?
Hello
I hope the following photos might
be of some interest to the people on the Mail Call list.
They were taken this
December when I was in Belgium taking part in the Bastogne Commemorative
March. The day after the March myself and a good friend drove to the
Soy-Hotton area spending sometime at some of the locations the 517th and 551st
were during the Bulge.
We spent all day find the areas the 517th
fought, and ended the day in Malmedy to pay our respects to those killed there
during the offensive.
Regards and best wishes for
2008
Jonathan
