Hi, Ben -
Happy Father's Day to all my favorite
vets!
We are looking forward to St.
Louis! It will be a wonderful time with many old and new friends, and we
can't wait. I am so happy to hear that registrations are still coming
in! Keep 'em coming!!!!
Please, come prepared to talk to Pat
O'Donnell and Rob McDonald. Bring an artifact and tell the story.
Show us a picture of a buddy and tell his story if he can't anymore. Think
about what you want your children, your grandchildren, and the school kids in
your town to know about the 517.
We have to work around the reunion
activities, and want to snag as many of you as possible. This work toward
preserving the history of the unit is the most important undertaking of the
Auxiliary since we were established at Savannah in 2005 - please help make this
project a success!
See you all in St. Louis! It's
going to be a great party!

Ben,
Please give our very best to the troopers and
family of the 517 th attending this years reunion. Our daughter is getting
married on the same weekend as the reunion or I was sure to make it this
year. A salute to Corporal Michael A. Sura 3rd Battalion, H Company, 3rd
Platoon and his comrades of 2nd Squard. Dad talked much of George
Monkhouse, Manfred Seeburger, Dick Huggler and Sargent Harmon.
Dad was taken off the field in Bergstein, Germany
on 2/6/45 along with Dick Huggler. Remember the 517 th and all that didn't
come home.

Please post this on mail call. This is a reminder that the 16th is the cut

Hello, Tom and Marianne, Ben.
I hope you are enjoying a
blessed Father's Day with your family.
And, speaking of awesome
fathers, where is Bill Boyle?
I have also sent a note to Ben
about Charlie Keen. He and my father corresponded for several
years....???
May God bless and keep you all.

Hi Gina,
Yes, Melvin Biddle has been a stalwart attendee, in the
past. He lives near Indianapolis and usually attends with Fred Wampler
of G Company.

Let me save you some time, let's see if this
works
Please update me again on your information, to make sure
I am current. I have been revising between multiple roster sources
lately. Helen Beddow is a dynamo and she is keeping me
busy.
Thanks, and good luck.

Tom has given Gina a roster of present B Co. members. Mel Biddle will not
be able to attend St. Louis Reunion. - Ben

I just figured it out, Tom. Sorry to trouble you.
I guess the only way to contact some of my father's Company B
comrades is to write to them, if there is no phone number. A written
thank-you is much better, anyway.
This is probably
understandable. I will hope and pray that some of them are at the
reunion.
Has Mr. Biddle been a regular attendee?
Gina
This is incredible, Tom.
I sent you information for myself,
daughter of Carl Votti, Co. B.
(Daddy passed in 1999, and Mother
passed in 2002.)
Is there a record of those who passed, and
when?
THANK YOU.
