All I remember about the mules were that they were large, mean and had US branded

on their rump. They were used when we were on the hill by Sospel France. In Italy I only

saw a couple of little donkeys used .

Don & Jan Saunders, to all of our friends in the 517th, 460th & 596th.

This is only the second reunion we have missed since I found out they existed back in 1979 and attended my first reunion in Minn. We regret that we will be unable to join you this year. We will miss seeing all of our friend, but these things happen.

Our best to you all, Especially my close friends of the 596th Eng. and their families.
