John Krumm

This is John Krumm.  I just finished reading Lory Curtis's book, Letters Home:  A Paratrooper's Story.  This is the story of his father, H.L. "Bud" Curtis, as a soldier in the 517th First Battalion based largely on letters he wrote home during the war.  It is indeed a remarkable book that captures the essence of the 517th soldier.  It is very interesting, and I enjoyed reading it.  It reflects the wonder and horrors of war and the warmth of family life.  It portrays the sacrifices the members of the 517th made to preserve our freedom.  I am so pleased I bought the book.
