Dear Ben,

Thanks for your email, first time im able to access my private email in 2 weeks hence the delay.

The articles you and Bob put on the website are awesome - thank you for supporting us.

There is a bunch of young guys in Southern France who are totally dedicated to the memory of the 517th and we continue

to do all our efforts to keep the memory of the 517th alive. Sadly most of them dont speak English.

My friend Nicolas Arnulf (cc'd on this email) is the organizer of the 64th anniversary of the combats of Col de Braus on 4-5 October which will sure be a great event. The participants of the souvenir march will walk all the way from l'Escarene up to the col de Braus and then down to Sospel.

You will receive a complete article with pictures when we get back.

We plan to keep up the memory of the 517th in Southern France thru the years with events such as our commemorative

march, exhibitions, honor guards, parades, reenactments etc and we would like to add an official touch to it. We are thinking

of opening a "517th PRCT Southern France Outpost" which would/could be recognized officially by the association of the 517th PRCT veterans. What do you think of the idea ?

Nicolas Arnulf and myself would volunteer for this task. Should we ask Mr Egner ? Im a bit lost as for the contacts of the 517th PRCT association since I have never been a member.

Your advice and recommendations would be more than welcome.

It looks like this server (205.188.249.130) needs to be removed from the list before Comcast will accept the Mail. This sounds like something that needs to be addressed with AOL...
