Got it.  Thanks.  I was not in the 517th.  My 'stone age' wartime was with the 11th Abn in the Pacific.  I had the honor of serving with Gen Seitz much later in DCSPER.

On of this guy called Emile LAVEDER (24 years old in 1944) was with us the 5th of October in Sospel.
You can watch the picture included : he is with Roland.
He was so happy to revive it 64 years later with young men dressed and armed like you were.
