Pat Seitz and Allan Greer

Dear Ben:
Having been the beneficiary of 517th's Belgian friends, Marie, Irma and Arnold's leadership, commitment, hospitality and dedication, they are very special to our family on a personal level as well as a professional one for their dedication to preserving the history of the 517th.  Thus, it was a real day brightener to see that Marie and Arnold have been honored for their dedication and leadership.  Please let them know how delighted we were to read the announcements.
Sincerely, Pat Seitz and Alan Greer

Ben:

Thanks for your concern.  We have a 10 foot high dike running down the street in front of us.  If it holds we will be alright.  All the colleges and schools are closed and thousands are sand bagging 24 hours a day.  The crest is scheduled for this area on Saturday.  The Army is also involved.  All contractors' heavy equipment is available for use.  It is nice to see a concerted effort by everyone to help strangers in time of need.  Help has come from volunteers in neighboring States.

Thanks again.

Note to Darrell, Claire, Lud, etc.  Now that St. Cezaire has been recently reminded that the 517th was their liberator, I hope you guys can put up a plaque there.  Since Lud was there, he and Claire should be able to make a great presentation to the mayor.  I'm counting on Claire's French.  If you can't arrange it on the 22nd of August (the liberation day), some other day should do.  PS  If the same 1944 mayor is still in charge, please apologize for Benoit's liberating his car in which the S-2 section rode out of town.   Howard Hensleigh

I sure hope you are able to pull this up as it's all about what we are trying to do with the 517 Movie, keeping future generations informed about World War II.  FSU is a great University which I have been associated with for over 40 years.  I am going to deliver a copy of Paratroopers' Odyssey to them as well as the 517 Movie when it is finished.

Hello Ben,
A man from Sospel (Emile Laveder's brother) gave us these pictures.
We would like to know if you could recognize some guys on these pictures and tell us their name.

We would like to help 517e for the movie. tell to Leo to give us the iban of your bank account to do a bank transfer. PLEASE.........

It is our way to thank you for your young years given to our freedom.
a movie is a very good idea : the new generations is a generation of pictures. they don't read a lot so to show this part of history is the best way to touch them.

Take care, all guys. We love you.
