Ben,
As you know I posted in a past mail call a change to our activities at the Salt Lake City National Reunion for Saturday, July 11th.  A gracious man who has the world's largest private collection of World War II tanks and equipment will provide free bus transportation to his site in Tooele, Utah, and sandwiches for lunch.   Last Friday I got to take a preview tour of his facility.  All I can say is FANTASTIC!  I cant wait for all of you to see his collection it is really something.  Anyway, July 9th is approaching very fast now, and I would encourage all to register for this last National Reunion of the 517th.  See you in Salt Lake.

Ben:
I received this email from Bridget Garcia and it appears she wanted the following information posted on MailCall.
Also, am still working on the Morning Reports!  Boy, it sure takes some "good eyes" to read some of these reports!  I've got about 170 entries so far for H company.

I tried to post this to the guestbook, but I had problems.  I was hoping that you could help me.

My Grandfather Antonio Salinas Sr. passed away on May 26, 2009 after having a stroke, he was 86. He was a recipient of the Purple Heart and Bronze Star. He also helped raise my sister and me and would always tell us stories about his time in the war to encourage us when things got tough. We are and always will be proud of him. He was our hero and he will be missed deeply. PFC Antonio Salinas served in the 517th Prct. 3rd bat. HQ Company.

Thank you,
Bridget Garcia

Hi Ben,

Just a big “thank you” to you for your efforts with Mail Call and especially the ones from the last couple days. As always, I LOVED the message from Irma…her fondness for all  of you is so clearly heartfelt and grateful. How dear of her to forward those pictures so those of us who have not visited the area have an idea of its appearance today.

Especially the link with photos from D-DAY defies description. Those photos were so spectacular they took my breath away. I can’t imagine being more proud to be an American. Just FYI, I have forwarded that newsletter to many friends, especially those with children along with a message for them to share the pictures with the kids. As you know, I am totally on board with you about the importance of educating kids today about the tremendous impact America had on the world in WWII.
