Hi Folks,
To introduce
myself, I am a 22 year Air Force Vet. My father was in the 517th
during WWII and I know very little about his service. He was in 3rd Bat, I
company. He was wounded during his service and came home kinda messed
up. He left our family when I was very young and I do not know very much
about him or his service. I am a career military man so I would like to
know what his service record was. He was killed in a plane crash in
Torrington, WY in 1950. If anyone is interested the American Legion took
care of his last rites and treated him with the respect that he deserved. If
anyone happens to be in the area please stop by and thank them for all
vets. To get back to what this message is about, I would like to find out
if any 517th vets remember my dad. I would like to know anything that you
could tell me. I am trying to put together a display of my military stuff
but I want a double display with my dad's stuff first and mine at the
bottom. If anyone could give me any infor please let me
know.

Thanks for your email.
Yes the video is a mix of 551 and 517 footage. If you want I can tell/time you the exact moments of the video which are only 100th% 517th. I'm 99% sure this footage is only a 10% part of the official footage shot at the airfields in Italy and which I have been looking for it for years... I have often heard that the hole WW2 footage is now in the possession of author Michel de Trez.
May I ask you Leo Dean's email address ? He gave it to me this summer but there is an error in thewriting and I cant reach him.
I am attaching to this email 2 pics of Dick Spencer if you want to add the in his page.
Kind regards, Gilles

THIS IS A MASTERPIECE OF MUSIC WITH GREAT ACCOMPANIMENT AND STRONG VOICES COMBINED WITH FABULOUS ACOUSTICS. THIS VIDEO CAME THROUGH ABOUT A YEAR AGO AND I HAD FORGOTTEN HOW PLEASING TO THE EAR IT WAS. SO IF YOU NEED A LITTLE INSPIRATION TODAY JUST SETTLE BACK AND RELAX AND LET THESE PEOPLE DO THEIR JOB.
Divo singing "Amazing Grace" in the beautiful arena in Pula , Croatia .
This coliseum (smaller but better preserved than the one in Rome ) where the concert and recording
were done is one of the most well-preserved Roman coliseums in the world.
The four male singers in the group are from four different countries. Moreover, they come from four different musical disciplines but have discovered a new unity of purpose. 'Il Divo' in Italian literally means a male (singular) 'prima donna.' They are: American tenor David Miller; Swiss tenor Urs Buhler; Spanish baritone Carlos Marin; and French pop singer Sebastien Izambard.
This group was initially brought together in 2004 by the infamous Simon Cowell after intensive worldwide auditions.
The virtuoso blending of operatic techniques with both romantic and popular tradition has taken the world by storm.
They have sold over 22 million albums, the first three of which were 'Il Divo', 'Ancora,' and 'Sempre,' the last two translated into English are 'Again' and 'Always.'
Lastly, the group decided to work with only one producer, a longtime collaborator named Steve McCutcheon (aka Steve Mac). A musical genius, Mac is able to create beautiful orchestrations by experience.
