Hello,

The F.B.I. needs your help.They are trying to figure out if a Muslim with the name of Muhammad who was found with a gun, scoop , tripod  etc.in his car is the sniper and a terrorist.The media is not much help. They classify the SOB  as an x-soldier and a veteran.

I have in this Mail Call"48 hours in the life of the 1st Battalion" I will have the 2nd and 3rd Battalions in later Mail Call.

Don't open any mail with ALLHALLOWMAS in subject. no matter who you receive it from. It is a virus.

Comments: MY FATHER ROMEO J. CASTONGUAY WAS A MEMBER OF THIS ELITE UNIT AND I AM VERY PROUD OF HIM AND ALL MEMBERS OF THE 517TH. UNFORTUNATELY HE WAS KIA IN THE KOREAN WAR ON FEB 15 51 WITH 1/75 RANGER COMPANY AIRBORNE AS 1ST SGT. NEVER GOT TO TALK TO HIM OR SEE HIM BUT THATS THE WAY IT IS. SO I HOPE EVERYONE WILL ENJOY THE RICH HISTORY OF THE 5 1 7TH!!!

Hi Ben:

I just wanted you to know how much I enjoy reading all of the Mail Calls. 

I was so glad that Tom Cross wrote to the ASOM and got a reply.  His letter was fantastic.

I also wanted to comment on how nice it is to see that so many people are getting excited for the Florida Mini-Reunion (I will not be able to attend this year because I will be helping my daughter move, but I will be at the Oklahoma Reunion).  It made me laugh to hear the bear story.

The 517th is truly a very unique group! It's nice to see all staying in touch and having fun with it. I hope all of you have a great time at the reunion.
