iHello,

I am now in California and besides earthquake tremors I am on a strange computer and I am having some problems with it. The devil you know is better than the one you don't know.Althought there is not much mail or information, I better send this out while I can. Perhaps someone can help the friends that are seeking information .

Hi Mr. Barrett. My name is Kim Allison and I would really like to thank you for the story you sent me. It was wonderful to hear and i must admit I had a grin from ear to ear. I would love to hear anything else or maybe some one has a photo.  Well, thank you again from the bottom of my heart.  yours truly, Kim

Hello Mr. Barret,
I am writing you this on behalf of my wife.  We are trying to track
down military information on her father Alfred Audette.   According to
his Separation Report we know he was discharged from the Army in July of
'46, as a member of the 13th Airborne Infantry.  We also know he was in
the European theatre from Feb '45 until Aug '46.  In trying to fill out
his geneological information we would like to know where he served, if
anyone is around that remembers him, etc.  We are uncertain that he was
with your regiment, but figured what the heck, maybe someone there would
know of him...  I know he'd been to a few reunions in the Syracuse NY
area in the '80's.  Unfortunately he passed away in 1988 from cancer.
Hopefully you can help us out, if not I would like to take the
opportunity to thank you, all the members of the 517th here and gone,
for the wonderful gift of freedom that we all now enjoy.

Sincerely,

Roy Lindlau

Comments: I would appreciate hearing from anyone with information regarding my great uncle, Sgt. Bernard Mallon. He served in H Company, 4th Plt. He never spoke of his experiences, but I know that he was very proud of his association with the 517th. He would have loved this site. Thank you.
