Hello,

It has just been brought to my attention that in Mail Call No. 443 I had Allan Johnson as our president instead of Allan Goodman. Only one person has notified me of the error and therefore many others must also
have had  a senior moment.

Ben;

In reply to Boom Boom's 3/19 mail call entry, I am wearing my dog tags, and those of my father (Joe) on the outside also.
Thanks,
Bill Cornett

Thought you would like to see this. This is from my younger sister in Nashville, TN. Her husband is a cameraman for the ABC affiliate there. I was touched.

HI, beautiful spring Saturday here in TN.. Randy goes on call on Sunday so we plan to rest today and enjoy some private family time.  Randy is so exhausted, here's a very touching story, he worked fourteen hours yesterday at Ft Campbell.... around 5PM a young woman named Melanie brought him a fresh hot pizza from Dominos- he thought it was a mistaken delivery and said he did not order one- she said, "no, it is a gift from me, you see my husband is 101st screaming eagle and in Iraq, I cannot give him dinner tonight- but you are my only link to him by watching Channel 2 news- so please accept this as your dinner tonight
in honor of my husband !"...
Love,
Kimberly

"I want you to remember that no bastard ever won a war by dying for his
country. He won it by making the other poor dumb bastard die for his
country.

"...I pity those poor bastards we're going against--by God, I do. We won't
just shoot the bastards. We're going to cut out their living guts and use
them to grease the treads of our tanks.

"...There's another thing I want you to remember. I don't want to get any
messages saying: 'We are holding our position.' We're not holding anything.
Let the Hun do that. We are advancing constantly and are not interested in
holding anything, except onto the enemy. We're going to hold on to him by
the nose and kick him in the ass. We'll kick the hell out of him all the
time. We'll go through them like crap through a goose."

- Excerpts of the opening speech delivered by Gen. George Patton in the
biographical movie "Patton" by Francis Ford Coppola

    Soldiers' Prayer

Please send this on after a short prayer.
Prayer wheel for our soldiers...please don't break it
When you receive this, please stop for a moment and
Say a prayer for our servicemen. There is nothing
attached.... This can be very powerful.... Just send this to all the people in your address book. Do not stop the wheel, please.... Of all the gifts you could give a US Soldier, Prayer is the very best one.

In regard to the above flag:

Between the field where the flag is planted there are 9+ miles of flower fields that go all the way to the ocean.  The flowers are grown by seed companies.  It's a beautiful place close to Vandenberg AFB. Checkout the dimensions of the flag.

The 2002 Floral Flag is 740 feet long and 390 feet wide and maintains the proper Flag dimensions as described in Executive Order #10834.  This Flag is 6.65 acres and is the first Floral Flag to be planted with 5 pointed Stars comprised of White Larkspur.  Each Star is 24 feet in diameter; Each Stripe is 30 feet wide.  This Flag is estimated to contain more than 400,000 Larkspur plants with 4-5 flower stems each for a total of more than 2 million flowers.  You can drive by this flag on V Street south of Ocean Av
e.  in Lompoc, CA.
