Hi Ben,
I haven't received any emails from mail call . I was having some
problems with my server,because of so much junk mail, and so
I now have a spam protection, and I wonder if that has blocked
my mail call emails... If you would please put me on the list to
receive I  will make sure that it doesn't get blocked..

Others have had a similiar problem when they tried to prevent spam. I also would like to eliminate spam but can't take the chance from  preventing legitimate mail from reaching me-Ben

Comments: I am the granddaughter of Robert R. Cooper, from D company, 517th PRCT. Just wanted to say how proud and honored I am to be able to say that I'm related to a hero! You're all heros in my opinion! Thank you for all that you've done for our freedom and way of life!

The following is from an article thet Tom Cross wrote for the Static Line in 1987

    "The December issue of the STATIC LINE carried an interesting listing in the Airborne Walk Contribution Section as follows: "In memory of the 2nd Battalion Cooks KIA in Southern France 1944, 517th RCT". The contributor was Al Herink )Hq2 ) who was one of the "combat" cooks. This brought forward some honest and respectful tears as it did to others that remembered these brave men that jimped into S. France on D-Day as ammo bearers with full load of Mortar and MG ammo. Thanks Al, for reminding us of this important part of our past history."
