Dear Ben,

On behalf of the officers and directors of the 517th Parachute Regimental Combat Team, we wish all members, wives, widows, descendants and friends a happy, healthy and prosperous Thanksgiving. In spite of our years, aches, pains, patches and slings, we have many things for which we are thankful. One thing we all share is the association with those who served in one of the splendid parachute outfits that contributed to our freedom and way of life today. We remember those who are no longer with us. We trust that their families, along with those of the survivors, have a Thanksgiving Holiday that casts a glow throughout the rest of the year.
