Ben,
Just a note to inform you of the passing today of my father, Sgt. Leon Bosse, Company D, 517th PIR, at the VA Hospital in North Little Rock, Arkansas.  I continue to hope to hear from someone that knew him since he was with the 517th from Italy to Germany.

Hi Ben!  Hope  all is well with you and Bob. Read Bob's comment about subject (Meet the Troopers) and agree that it is a great idea.  So, count me in and go ahead and use the biographical information I sent recently.
I will continue to seriously appreciate what you and Bob are doing to keep this Brotherhood alive. " For we are members of one great body, planted by nature in a mutual love, and fitted for a social life.---We must consider that we were born for the good of the whole."----Seneca

Dear Ben:

This is an update on the republication of The Paratroopers’ Odyssey, the history of the Combat Team, written by members and originally copyrighted and published by the Association in 1985. Donna Hilliard (Silas Brown’s daughter) has been doing an excellent job of managing this project. We had a proof that was up to her high standards. The outfit that did the replication of the twenty page picture section in the middle of the book was then downsized out of business. The new picture sub-vendor produced a copy that did not meet Donna’s standards. The prime vendor read the Odyssey and vowed that he would republish a book worthy of the "heroes" whose deeds are reported in it.

Things are on track, but this bump in the road took some time. We will have a republished book ready for shipment as soon as we have a product that lives up to the tradition of the Combat Team and its members. We expect this to take place shortly and will keep you posted on the progress to completion.

Hang in there, Howard Hensleigh
