Thanks Richard Havill... for telling me what you
recall about my uncle, Floyd A. Stott. Recently, I have received a
WONDERFUL recorded account from many of the men who were in that Manhay
battle. They must have met at one of your 517th Reunions and made the 59+
minute tape at that time. If you haven't heard it yet, Richard, you should
request a copy or the link to listen to it on your computer
speakers.
I pray for you and all Service Men and Women
daily. I pray that you are all healthy and that you continue to display
the camaraderie of the Band of Brothers you have
experienced.

Here is the Manhay tape that Kent is referring
to. A little mumbo jumbo at the beginning. It really starts when Lud Gibbons
introduces himself.-Ben

I, am sure Browning was in I company 3rd platoon from the start of
the beginning of the 3rd BTL.
When you wrote of Lt. Scott, I agree with you that he was a
good officer like you I served under him from the beginning of I. Co. 3rd.

Subject: Louis Demko - 517th 3rd Bn HQ
Co.
Did you ever know my father Louis
Demko? I am researching my father's WWII
experience.
He past away in June 1987. He
never told me about his time with the 517th. I have 12" X 36" photo of
the 3rd Bn of the 517th. Can you tell me anything about my dad or tell
me of anyone else in the HQ Co. of the 3rd Bn?
Thanks.

I would appreciate being placed on the 517th Mail
Call List.
My uncle served in the 517th; his name was Erwin W.
Scott Jr. and he was in Co D.
His widow and I are planning to attend the next
reunion in Georgia.
