THE SOUTHERN FRANCE MONUMENT:
Tom Reber questioned whether members and friends could make donations and name a trooper who served in Southern France. The answer is "yes". We should name all those (about 100) who fell in the liberation of Southern France. Several of us plan to make donations in multiples of $10. to cover persons we name. Ms. Gott has already done that. Tom also will keep a roster of those who donate. Those names along with the troopers we name will be sent to France to get the project rolling. Our goal is to compile at least 250 names of troopers with a matching $2,500 or more. We can then advise our friends in France that we have done our part and that they may proceed.
CORPORATE AND IRS MATTERS
Many years ago our Association was incorporated in Florida. After Bill Lewis died, the State of Florida dissolved our corporation because we had not filed annual reports. We re-incorporated in Massachusetts and are in good standing. I have filled the position of clerk to satisfy the requirement that the clerk be a resident of MA. Since we will be moving to Fleet Landing in Florida on August 18, 2004, Ben Barrett has agreed to fill this role. As we plan for the future, we may at some point invite Ben’s son Bob to take this position. The clerk’s main function is to file annual report each year.
The IRS requires the Association’s Massachusetts corporation to reapply for tax exempt status. We filed that application by letter dated July 4, 2004.

Lisa Ferriaolo
Hi Ben. I read Lisa's email to mean that the fellow on the street at the center bottom of group 12 is her father-in-law, Louis Farraiolo. I will write to her and have a copy of that photo made from the original and send it to her.
As always, Ben, I love reading each Mail Call. Thanks.
Mike
OK, thanks Ben. I wrote to her and said I would make a scan of the
picture by itself and email it to her. She wrote back:
