Floyd and Adrianna Polk
Subject: Charley

We are back!!!  We still don't have electricity except when we run the generator that our grandson brought over Wed. night.  According to the newspaper Sat. we should have electricity the 24th -- Floyd's 80's birthday -- the air condition sure will be welcomed back.  The days are in the 90's outside and up to 85 degrees in the house.  The eye of the storm came right over us with winds up to 135 miles an hour.  Of the eight big oak trees and the six big pine trees there isn't much left.  The next morning they were on the house and all over the yard.  It is too wet to get them out and still have tons of trees to haul away and burn.  Will send pictures later.

Thanks to you Ben for sidestepping the so-called 'politically correct' policy in 740 email and including Jeanne Davis' email citing the muslim 'towel heads' repeated offenses in bombing and killing many many of our people in their so called Holy War which includes a long list of those attacks.  It is a Muslim war against America and let us recognize that to the world!  Unfortunately, some of our own citizens need an awakening!

>>Hi Ben...

Gail and I are doing well, thanks.  We too would enjoy meeting up with you and others of the 517th persuasions...hard to say when that would be...meanwhile we both enjoy keeping up with everyone through the forum.  Thanks again for all your initiatives and efforts to this end...!  Stay well, and keep up the good work...!...TW<<

Ben,

This is for Joe and Marie Louise Spencer:
Wanted to let you know that the Polks are doing just fine.  They are still without electricity and water, but their grandson was able to bring them a generator that they can use limitedly.  They are able to use the refrigerator and do have phone service and mail service.  Adrianna, keeps saying how lucky they were, compared to other folks.

Comments: Thank you all for protecting our freedom. I have a relative Henry Woehrer who was in H company and died in the Battle of the Bulge. If the site operators are interested I can scan some photo's of him at bootcamp and send them to you. If anyone remembers him on this site, I would love to hear any stories you may have.

I would say that you injected your thoughts to the "towel heads" regarding their holy war!!!

Good for You!!! I would have to say I agree totally with your "so be it" thoughts regarding the holy war!!

Have a great day.

Had a call from Cecil today. 8-24-04. He is doing fine
he says at age 82. If you remember, at the OKC Reunion
he fell and was skinned up quite a lot. He had to
leave the reunion early by greyhound bus back to
Kentucky.  Says he wants to be in Kissimmee in Jan 05.
I will let him know the dates as he does not have a
computer.  Lets hope a lot of the troopers who have
missed some reunions try and make it. Time is running
out.  Cecil Parks Tele # is 270-898-8968.  He is
living with his son. Give him a call.
