Hello,
I do not wish to make final confirmation about a member making the final
jump unless I am absolutely certain and therefore I will leave it up to
those who know the facts to inform us if a member has passed on. When making
inquiries, it is best to include the first and last names since we have many
members with the same last name.

Tom McAvoy just received info on the current 517th Mail
Call indicating Jack's address to be at 6225 Sunset Blvd, Los Angeles, CA
9002. I did some double checking with Google and the good reliable
517th Thunderbolt August l997 Roster which reveals that Jack had an office at
Suite 2212, 6225 Sunset Blvd. Hollywood, CA 90028. Tom go ahead and use
that telephone which was provided. Good luck.

Thanks for the help. I will write him in
the morning. I think I will send it to both addresses. I hope he
went up north before all the rain hit down south.

Hello! Just a quick note to le you know I talked with Darrell
Egner
today, and he and most of his property are surviving the storm.
He has
a generator and is able to have lights, etc. I was pleased to
know his
son Matt is with him so they are enjoying a visit in the midst of
these
terrible storms hitting Florida. I knew everyone is concerned
about our
Florida friends, so I wanted to pass this info on. Wish we
could hear
from Dorothy MacKenzie and Bob and Mildred. Do you
know about their
area?
Kent Imerfall,
Ben,
This is in response to Mail Call #738 of August 17,
2004. John M. Davis was trying to reach me. His father-in-law, Olen
A. Hughes, served in "I" Co with my uncle, Floyd A. Stott. I'd still
like to contact John Davis or hear from him. Thank You!
I still have some photos (small ones) of Floyd's that I need
to scam and send to your correct site to see if anyone of the 517th remembers
some of the sights or even the soldiers. I just need to find the time and
the correct site. I'll do it though.

Dear Mr. Barrett.
I just wanted to say thanks to you and
all of the other 517th members and family (Tom McAvoy, Gene Frice & Juliana
Stonis) for the kind words and best wishes for Tammy and I leaving for China
Friday to FINALLY bring home the beautiful baby girl that we both know was meant
to be our daughter. We went through many years of disappointments and false
hope although, when we finally decided to look into Chinese Adoption, we knew
immediately that God simply had something else, something bigger and just as
exciting in store for us. This is truly the results of many prayers and
wishes from Tammy and I as well as all of our friends and
family.
Thanks again for all of the kind words.
Sincerely,
Chris Liddell

Dear Ben,
In speaking with my father this morning he definitely remembers Jack
Dunaway, in fact after my dad and mom were married in 1947, Jack visited
them. My father says Jack was a
very successful lawyer in Hollywood. My father always admired Jack, he would like to know when he passed away?
Also he would like to know if Sug Lawrence is
still with us and would like to hear from him if he is on mail
call.
