Attached are all of the current
rosters:
The first tab is every entry we have, sorted by
last name.
The second tab is every entry we have sorted by
company.
The red tab (3rd tab) is the mailing list
with bad addresses and those not interested in the Thunderbolt, purged off of
it.
I hope it is correct. I thought it was time
for an update. I thought the Beddows may want a look at
it.
Ben/Bob/Hal:
If all goes well, I plan on attending Kissimmee
and Savannah.
Regards to all,
Tom Reber

Comments: I stumbled
across this web site while searching for info on Camp Grant, IL where my father,
Michael Makros, began his WW II training with the 26th Training Battalion. He
was Company A, the first group of medical replacement personnel trained. He
received further training at Billings General Hospital. He wound up as a Tech 5
in the Medical Corp and was assigned as Ships Compliment on the Marine Wolf. The
Marine Wolf did many shuttles between LeHavre and Southampton as well as
Algiers. I am currently looking for anyone who may have been transported on the
Marine Wolf. Also, I am looking for any pictures, affiliated stories etc. Thank
you for your time and consideration in this matter. Also, thank you for keeping
this part of our history alive. Sincerely, Michele

Ben,
I spoke to Sam over the week-end. First time in
32 years. He celebrated his 81st birthday Monday. Had several other members from
the 5th Psychological Operations BN ABN give him a call.
Sam was our Command SGT MAj. until 1972.
His son, then, was in my Boy Scout Troop at Panzer Kaserne where our unit was
stationed.
As the unit's Army photographer I traveled with
Sam to many dedication ceremonies to all of you WWll vets. We also jumped
monthly with local German paratroops. I met a German Sgt Maj who was at a town
in Belgium where the Americans dropped in to be met under fire by the Nazis. We
were there for a wreath laying ceremony with NATO ABN
forces.
Sam's son, Peter, now 46 , has over 1000 jumps
to his credit !
