Bud Wyatt
What a Day, at last I. Heard from Jesse Pipkin Boy old buddie you do not
known how many thing I have try to contact you. You ask how many of the Comm.
Platoon was still around? All I known of the old Platoon is West,
Scaring, Engner and Gen. Seitz. Bob Christie joins us late but He is the man to
give you a good run on 2nd Bn, 517th Comm, Plat. Nate Rubenstein's daughter
is real active in the Regt. but I think you have been in touch with her.
Let me what you have been up to Bud Wyatt
Claire Giblin,
I wanted to let you know that Dad (Allan Johnson 596) and I have made our
reservations for Kissimmee. Anyone who hasn't yet should check out the
fares on Song airlines. We got a great airfare - only $135 round-trip each
($59. each way plus taxes or something). Song is a part of Delta, and I've
flown them before. We're looking forward to seeing the troops in sunny
Florida. I know Leo Dean will be there - we will be sure to bring his
skydiving video with us!
Joe Calder
Joe Calder: Johns' question about the transfers to the 82nd. If
he was
transferred while we we in France, probably orders were written.
If he
stayed with the 517th until we disbanded, we went to bed one night
as
members of the 517th and woke the next morning as members of the 505th.
I think this was in early 1946

Roster, Belgium and Germany, is interested in hearing from anyone who knew him
during that period. Thanks. Harris Johnson
