Dear Tom: Ben or Bob have put several things together to make a fine

Mr. Hensleigh,
I just read your account at the website linked

Well done! Your description of the man and
the moments in history are a worthy tribute.

January 4-5, 1945
The fight on the ridge continued throughout the
night, becoming steadily more violent. Ranging in by sound, Artillery Observer
Henry Covington brought artillery fire within fifty yards of the American
position. The Germans responded with mortar, artillery and Nebelwerfer fire. One
round caught a 3rd Battalion in Bergeval, resulting in 17
casualties--Paratroopers' Odyssey
Below is a map provided to me by Clark Archer, our historian,
showing the flight of the shell that caused the seventeen casualties. I
was one of them as well as Andrew Lubick. - Ben
