Hello,

Incoming email has been at a minimum the past few days. However, I have had phone conversations with Howard Hensleigh and Tom Cross. Last evening I had a long talk with Floyd Polk concerning recent mail from Alain Fine Recent website additions:
60th Anniversary -  Ardennes, Belgium and Floyd reminisced about his 1984 trip to Southern France. Adrianna will send us details for future Mail Calls. Floyd does the farming.

Ben; As civilians, we cannot be reminded often enough of the sacrifices made
by you and your comrades who served in all our wars. Thank you. mark landreth

I watched the flag pass by one day, It fluttered in the breeze.
A young paratrooper saluted it, and then he stood at ease..

I looked at him in uniform, so young, so tall, so proud,
With hair cut square and eyes alert, he'd stand out in any crowd.

I thought how many men like him, had fallen through the years.
How many died on foreign soil, how many mothers' tears?

How many pilots' planes shot down? How many died at sea
How many foxholes were soldiers' graves? No, freedom isn't free.

I heard the sound of Taps one night, when everything was still,
I listened to the bugler play, and felt a sudden chill.

I wondered just how many times, that Taps had meant "Amen,"
When a flag had draped a coffin. of a brother or a friend.

I thought of all the children, of the mothers and the wives,
Of fathers, sons and husbands with interrupted lives.

I thought about a graveyard, at the bottom of the sea
Of unmarked graves in Arlington. No, freedom isn't free.

Ben,
I always enjoy reading your emails.  I have noticed that several emails talk about discovery of items, old photos, etc.  Since I like preparing books for printing, I would like to let everyone know that If I can be of help in the organization of memories and photos, they can call me or email me and I will be glad to answer any questions on self-publishing.
Thanks,

Hello!  I have just read Bob Dalrymple's  letter regarding sending funds
for the Euro. friends to attend the Reunion.  I would like very much to
meet with them again, but I know of many of our people who save for 2
years just to attend, and many cannot  make it at all. We became aware
of this when Monk and I helped host the San Antonio Reunion  At that
time several of us paid for some of the Troopers to attend that had
never been able to participate before. Seems to me since we are getting
older and many this will be their last one to attend, if any assistance
is given we should start with our own!  Hope I don't step on any toes,
but I just had to put my views in.

Thanks for listening!                                   June

Just for the heck of it.

CONCENTRATE ON THE FOUR DOTS IN THE MIDDLE
OF THE PICTURE FOR ABOUT 30 SECONDS.

THEN CLOSE YOUR EYES AND TILT YOUR HEAD BACK.

KEEP THEM CLOSE, YOU WILL SEE A CIRCLE OF LIGHT
CONTINUE LOOKING AT THE CIRCLE...

                                  WHAT DO YOU SEE?
