Ben,
I was at a gun show this past week, & saw a letter with the
517th patch on it, & I inquired as to what the man had pertaining to the
517th, & he said the purple heart of Sgt. Kenneth Mattice, I company, &
told me the price was $ 1,500.00. I was surprised at the price, & wondered
if you or someone on the Web knew him, & if he was still living. My
curiosity was up, concerning Sgt. Mattice. Best Airborne regards, Morris

Sgt., Kenneth Mattice 'I' was KIA in Southern France.-Ben
Ben,
Thanks for answering so soon. I have never bought any medals, so I
have no idea what they would go for, but $ 1,500.00 seems high to me. By the
way, I am looking for a First Airborne Task Force patch, & the little red
airplane to go with it, do know where I might find them? Regards, Morris

Not sure if I'm a
bit behind the times on this, but, how do I
obtain?

Neil Blanton
HI BEN,
Neil Blanton here just wanted to thank-you for the e-mail from
trimble@snip.net it really made my day,. He hit the nail on the head with his info
which stated: not a very big guy with dark curly hair and a bit of a swagger.
He
also said he was from Ohio somewhere around Steubenville ,we live 10 miles north
in the town of Toronto Ohio, what a memory. Everything I ever found on my dad said
he was in Co. B but the e-mail said he thought he was in Co. A as he was in Co.
B
maybe just a mix-up well. Thanks again and please thank the sender of the
e-mail Neil Blanton
