Ben, It was great news to hear that Bob did not need heart surgery.
When
I had my cath. three years ago, they rushed me immediately to
another
hospital, June, up front with the ambulance driver. The next
morning I had a
triple by-pass. Dr. said that I had about two weeks to
live . I had three
blockages, one was 100%, one 97%, a third, partial.
Am doing just great,
thanks to the prayers of many and to my excellent
doctors, and
nurses.
Stay healthy, Bob and take good care of yourself. You are in
our
prayers.
See all of you real soon.

Ben,
Thank you so much for the info. We can go to Grosseto as we are
staying nearby in Tuscany and we will have a car. Also thanks for the map. I was
able to read the account online as to what happened. If I read the map right, he
was either in B or C company. Do you know where he was taken to the
hospital after being shot? He was left paralyzed from the sniper - I guess
that's what happened. He led a full life though stayed in alot of pain. He had a
car and drove and had a boat. As a kid I thought that was cool that he had
all these buttons to push in the car to drive. He died in the fall of 1963 from
kidney failure. Anyway, I told my mother and his brothers and sisters that I
would try to find the place where he was shot so thank you very much for your
help. And I thank you for all your sacrifices.

Hello everyone and greetings from Savannah!
Registrations
are coming in, and I thank those that have sent them in. From reading
"Mail Call", I know there are more coming, so please send in those Registrations
Forms as soon as you can.
Everything is falling into place very
nicely. I only hope it continues to do so through f August 20th. For
you information, there is not a free Shuttle Service from the hotel to the
airport. However, there is a Shuttle Service run by the airport that will
bring you to the hotel and Gray Line Transportation has just started a shuttle
service from the airport to the hotels. I will get that information this
week for all of you, and will post it at this site. If you happen to miss
it here on Mail Call, you can always call me at (912) 925-2766. Please
wait until after Memorial Day for your inquiries regarding the
shuttle.
Hal and I look forward to seeing you in August. We will
have a great time here in Savannah.

JEAN
I knew and still know Marvin, we send e mail to each other also phone each
other now and then. The soldier he help save was Guy Carr, who lost his leg, the
three of us were in third platoon I company.
After I lost my arm in Manhay I was sent back to the States to an
amputee hospital in Utah, one day while sitting on my bed who walks in but Guy
Carr. Him and our Wives palled around for years, until he died about ten
years ago.
I got Guys wife Jean in touch with Marvin and they are sending e
mail to each now.
