Ben, Don't know if I mentioned that I think I
have located a site for our Florida Mini Reunion here in Bradenton. I have to do
some negotiating yet and will let you know when I am sure. The dates would be
Jan.22-26.I will bring all the details to the reunion in Savannah. Bob

Mr.
Barrett,
I
have attached 2 pictures of my father; I would really appreciate it if you would
post these on your website. My
sister has given me quite a few photos of the troopers,
the only two of my father are attached.
I would like to get the additional pictures to you for posting too. I think the troopers/families would
appreciate these. There are photos
on the website that the Stonis’s sent in, one has a picture of my father, when
my sister saw it, she almost flipped. I didn’t want to bog down your e-mail by
scanning all these. Tell me the
best way to get these to you, if you want I can mail (snail mail) them or, I can
scan a few and e-mail them a few at a time whatever you think is best. I have recognized a few of the trooper’s
faces seeing them on the website, and have contacted them to see if they would
like a copy. I have not herd back
from them (my e-mail has been acting up), but probably the best way is to get
them to you.
Thanks a
lot
Jay

Thanks: Moon and I had a receiving company at
the parachute school
in"43". We were both Second Lieutenants, but
I was the Co as I had a
couple of weeks "date of rank " over Moon, But
he had been in the Army
longer than I.

Ben,
Fred Harmon has called & is
trying to find a phone number for Jay Sutcliffe, the Son of Jim Sutcliffe, of
'H' company. He wrote Fred & wants more information about his Dad, &
Fred would like to talk to Jay. If you have his e-mail address I would
appreciate it. Thanks much, Morris McDowell

Bob,
I
am somewhat unfamiliar with the formality of the site, I've seen both Bob and
Ben mentioned and thought that the people were getting the names confused. I now know that it's a father and son
team, that's pretty neat. It's also
important to know so that I can give you credit too for the website, you people
have done an incredible job!
The picture that the
Stonis's have posted is titled ?Unknown. Hopefully someone will
recognize some of these guys. The picture was really
bad picture?
My
father is 3rd from the left back row standing, or in the middle. I had actually contacted Juliana Stonis,
her father thought that he recognized the name Sutcliffe, but needed a face to
go with the name.
I
can't thank you enough for all your hard work and dedication that you and your
father have put out, and I appreciate you posting the attached pictures. I will send you the rest as I get them
scanned. One in particular has
great sentimental value to me, it's a picture of two troopers that my father
kept in his wallet for almost 60 years, it's still in
incredible shape.
I
also know that it takes money to keep this going, is there someplace that a
donation could be made?
Thanks again for your
help!!!

Jay,
There is no formality to th web site. I do
the setup and posting of what is sent to me. My Dad, Ben Barrett (H Co.),
is the editor and gives me advice. His other full-time job is sending out
the MailCall email newsletter several times a week.
I am just heading to the airport for a few days,
so I won't be able to start posting things until next weekend. Be
patient.
No need to send me money. But maybe the
Association could use some "dues" payments.
Regards
Bob Barrett

Hi
Ben
I have been reading with interest the recent
accounts of the family of Cleo Browning. I find it further interesting
that there doesn't seem to be an accurate record of "where" the remains of this
brave soldier might be.
All of these years I have believed that my
uncle's remains (Floyd Andrew Stott) were in the hallowed ground at Henri
Chappelle in Belgium. Now I am wondering.
After reading the account that stated remains
were sent to the US if there is no record of a Military Cemetery burial I felt
better that Floyd's remains ARE in Belgium. But I still wonder.
I was even more appreciative to read what Fred
Beyer wrote. I have a feeling Fred "was there" along with Floyd that
fateful morning near Manhay. It is so good to know that Fred turned 82 and
seems to be in good health. If Fred would ever care to email me about
Floyd I would appreciate it.
Thank you and as always...Thank God for
Paratroopers!
