Dear Ben:

We all wish Dick Seitz, Pat and her husband bon voyage. We will be with them in spirit. I have wanted to return to our old haunts, but couldn’t stand to visit France without climbing to the top of Ridge X. They tell me Lud Gibbons on his last visit took off up the Ridge on the run. Don’t think this wheel chair would make it.

With Dick’s two favorite lawyers along, Dick can’t get into too much trouble. We know that trio will represent us well. Airborne all the way, Howard Hensleigh

Does anyone know how many total days of combat the 517th Prcht Inf Combat Team had on the lines during the IIWW?  Not just at one particular period of time, but the overall total # of days.

Thank you - Airborne All the Way!!

Dear Ben

Was the 517th association, or any individuals from
the 517th ever contacted by any of your former
enemies from southern France, I mean ex German
soldiers. I would be very interested to be able to
contact a German soldier from southern France, and
know what the southern France invasion looked like
from their point of view.
