Hello,
Not much mail the past few days, but I want to run notices from Helen about
transportation for the reunion.
I just received from Eddy Monfort, a Belgian friend, his new book.
"LA BATAILLE DES CARREFOURS" Correspondence from Howard
Hensleigh, Floyd Ziolkowski, William Webb, and Mike Spano as well as photos of
other 517 members are in this book written in French.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION---
For those of you that are flying into
Savannah for the Reunion, the shuttle service at Savannah International Airport (Low
Country Adventures/Gray Line) strongly suggests that you call their 800 number
and make reservations to be taken to the DeSoto Hilton. By having
reservations, you can be assured that you will be on the shuttle bus for that
particular flight. Without reservations, you have to wait for the people
with reservations to be seated, and then you will be taken care of with the
seats available.
The 800 number is 1 (800) 845-5582, then follow the
options for Reservations. When calling for reservations, have your Flight
information ready and a credit card to hold your reservations. This
information was not given to me until now, so I hope that you will call for your
reservations ASAP. The shuttle bus desk is in the North Baggage Claim
area.
There is also taxi service
One other
thing............that tropical storm lurking out in the Atlantic will NOT be in
the Savannah area.......I promise.

Ben please pass the word to the committee
that i will not be able to make it. Had a back operation this spring
and thought I would be able to travel when I sent in my
paperwork. Pain has increased during the last three weeks so
cannot take the travel . Sorry that I will miss the
reunion. If I have any money coming back please use it to pay
association expenses such as the Thunder bolt and other items as you and the
officers feel necessary.
PS Need new belt buckle and license plate if
they are available.
