Subject: MAIL CALL NO. 972 517TH PRCT--AUGUST 30, 2005
Hello,

We have had no information about our friends down South in the hurricane area. It most unlikely that we would hear directly from them with conditions such as they in the vicinity of the storm.

Ben, do you know of any 517th troopers in the Alabama, Mississippi,  New Orleans area?  Have you heard how they are doing?  I am in the Florida Panhandle near Pensacola.  If you know of anyone I can help, please let me know.  I have already donated to the Red Cross and the US Humane Society for the animals (they need vets in the area, too).  We get so much more news than most people from our local stations than from the national news and this is a heart rendering situation.  Please let me know if there is anything I can do to help them and I will do what I can.

Hey, Ben -

Have all of our southern friends reported in?  Does anyone need the help of the 517 family in the aftermath of Katrina?

Let us know, because I'm sure that if help is needed, people want to know.

Thanks -

Claire Giblin

Hi Ben this Michael Carrillo, Beavers son. Hope all is well with you and
yours. I keep hearing how nice this reunion turned out. I wish I could
have mage it. When will the reunion be , what month? I need to plan this
out since Beaver doesn't want to walk any more . He says that he is tired
and he hurts. I hope he can make it to this one in Portland, Oregon. Ben
has anyone heard from Gonzalo Chico, I tried and tried but no one ever
answers his phone.

Comments: My father, Gerald Fryczynski, was in the 460th. The only vacations we had growing up were paratrooper reunions. My parents are both in poor health, but I would like to continue to keep up on the "family" that all of you have been to us.
