Sgt. Nello Arterburn, G Co. and Beauford (Buford A. Adams, H Co.?)

Attached is a photo of my dad, Nello R. Arterburn, 3rd Bat.,  Co. G, with a fellow named Beauford (not sure if that was his first or last name)?  Looks like they were hamming it up a bit.  I believe this photo was taken in 1943, possibly at Camp Mackall.
