I have not checked in on this site for a while. My dad, Ben Combest was in Co G. He passed in September of 2010. I have never had the opportunity to speak with anyone who knew him from the 517th. If there is anyone out there who served with Ben Combest... I would love to hear from you!!!

My father, Raymond Bunce was in Company F for the Battle of the Bulge (June 24th 1944) where he was injured for the first time. I would love to learn more about his service experiences. He passed away in 1996 only speaking of his experiences in the last few years of his life. I have some pictures with other soldiers but have no way of identifying them. Would love to share information.

My father was Sgt Allen H. Douglas, 517th 43' - '45.

He passed a young man of 53 in Dec. 1977. I regret I never learned much about his service, he never spoke about it.
