E-mail: lhs1942@gmail.com 		My brother,T/4 Alton Shaneyfelt from Alabama was in the 517th.He was a radio man in the 2nd battallion,F company.He was killed somewhere near Le Muy,France on or about Aug.15,1944.Looking for someone who knew him & what platoon he was in.Would like a picture of his platoon before he was killed.Would gladly pay for picture. E-mail: travis3512@yahoo.com 		My name is Travis Ellington, and my grandfather, Ed Ellington served in the 517th from 1943 to 1945. He was in HQ company 1st Bat. I am currently working on a project to document his life; I was young when he passed away, and although I was lucky enough to know him, I was too young to realize what a tremendous sacriface he made for his country and my freedom. I have found a good number of pictures and documents, as well as letters he sent home to his family members. If you would like, I would like to give copies of these articles to you to be added to your website if you could use them. I would also like to make contact with anyone who might have any information on him. Thank you for all the valuable information on the website. Also if anyone has any tips that may help me in finding information on my Grandfather, I would greatly appreciate it. I look forward from hearing from someone soon!

 My grand father served in the 517 th John W Anderson i have his military papers what all do i need to do to get his name here sad to say he pased in 1986 i would love to honor his memories here and thank you all for sevice to my country.

Baggett, 2 BN HQ. He was KIA Sept of 1944. From Louisiana. He was at LSU on a football scholarship when he enlisted. That sums up almost everything I know about him. If you knew Al, I'd be most grateful to hear your remembrances of him and of your service together. Thank you.
